Sofwave™

Sofwave™ is a non-invasive skin-tightening treatment that uses ultrasound to stimulate collagen production in the skin. This can help with dry eyes by improving the tautness of the skin around the eyes.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING & FOLLOWING THE TREATMENT?

The Sofwave™ procedure can take up to 90 minutes, depending on the treated area. While the procedure can be done without anesthetic, we typically will use topical anesthetic for added comfort. Patients may notice a flushed look to their skin or mild swelling and tenderness; however these aftereffects typically fade within a few hours. As there is no downtime following the procedure, patients can return the next day to work, school, and other daily activities with little to no restrictions.

​WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Results will begin to appear within a few days of your treatment and will continue to improve over the next six months as the new collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid tighten and lift the skin. Repeat treatment is usually desired every 1-2 years because the patient continues to change.
